Beauty and Fashion……..

The best laid plans of mice and men…………. hmmmm, I traveled to Brisbane yesterday for the first day of Mercedes Benz Fashion Festival. A grand marquee, a troupe of beautiful models, make up artists and stylists. Then of course the gang of photographers all shooting for different fashion outlets and guess what……no show. A safety issue arose concerning seating and the organisers took the right decision to postpone the shows.

In the meantime, I am no longer able to attend the rest of the shows due to other circumstances meaning the only photo I walked away with is of one of the sponsors products, albeit one that costs more than my house.

Does it tick the box for fashion, beauty and art?

Yes!!!

Fifties Fun……………….

I was watching a show on the TV this evening which was focusing on fifties music. Coolangatta at the south end of the Gold Coast hosts a fifties themed event.

Music, fashion and cars combine in a week of booby socks, twirling skirts, slicked back hair and revving motors doing their best to bring back the happy days.

The cars are simply awesome, loud, colourful and with an aura of lawlessness.

The girls go out of their way to recreate the fashions with a modern twist.

And the bands hammer out the well-known hits of yesterday.
